• Location data, only when you explicitly allow it, to show nearby events
• Push notification tokens, to send you event reminders you opt into

• To send push notifications you have opted into

• To enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the app (hosting, push notifications, payment processing)

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Expired events are automatically deleted from our servers. You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all your data.

• Update your profile at any time from within the app
• Opt out of push notifications in your device settings
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data at api.scoutlocal.app/delete-account

7. Children's Privacy

ScoutLocal is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us to have it removed.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

9. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Google Maps — map display and location search
• Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchase processing
